Saturday Cosmetics Review - L'Oreal Color Khol Eyeliners...

Good afternoon everyone I hope you have all enjoyed your Saturday, today I thought I would review for you my two L'oreal eyeliners. They are called 'Color Khol Eyeliner' by L'Oreal Paris and they retail for about £4.50 Buy here...

I have had these eyeliners for a couple of months now and I barely use them because I'm just not a heavy eye makeup person, I always look really over done with loads of eye makeup, but I still use it from time to time, and so I am certainly adequate to review these for you. I have the eyeliners in 2 colours, 101 midnight black and 135 iced chesnut (brown).

Both are standard eyeliner sized and claim to have 'INTENSITY, COMFORT, and PRECISION', any eyeliner lovers dream if you ask me. This is a pencil and not a liquid, I know some much prefer liquid, it just all depends on the look you're going for really.

I'll begin with the 101 Midnight black, such a mysterious name if you ask me! It feels quite sturdy, the gold writing on the black gloss pencil is really pleasing to the eye and looks darn posh and cool. Longetivity wise this pencil is quite a soft pencil, it's quite pigmented if you catch my drift, you don't have to press hard at all to get a line, this softness has both it's benefits and flaws, it draws a nice precise thin line, but it is also quite melty and so uses up quickly, and requires being stored in a fridge from time to time to harden up.

As you can see with the swatch, the line is precise and intense, I didn't even press very hard.

Moving onto the brown eyeliner...

This 135 Iced Chesnut is probably my favourite of the two, the colour is quite natural but still intense. It is also quite melty and soft, but this makes it perfect for smudging long the lash lines. I store this in the fridge every so often to harden the tip because it does soften and snap sometimes. This would be great for a natural look, or even better for a brown smokey eye with brown-ey eyeshadows.

SO here is an overall conclusion:

These eyeliner pencils are relatively cheap, they look really really good, their very precise and vibrant. The liner itself can go incredibly soft and melty but can easily be fixed with the help of the refrigerator. Both colours are nice and easily blended for various looks. I give them a 4/10.

Here are some looks you could try with the eyeliners:

I hope you have enjoyed this post, if you have do give it a cheeky comment as I love to hear what you think, remember you can always subscribe if you would like to hear me jibber jabber on a regular basis, as always thank you for reading, I love you all, love Annie :-) xx

The Saturday Cosmetics Review - The best heat defence I have ever used?

Good evening everyone I hope  you have all had an amazing weekend, today I am going to be reviewing what is most probably the best heat defence I have ever used. I have curly, dyed, fragile hair and so protecting my hair is a major must when it comes to heat styling.
And the winner of current best heat defence goes to...

Photographs taken myself.
Yes, the coveted heat protector is 'Studio Silk & Gloss Hot Straight Spray' by L'Oreal Paris. It is my favourite and most effective heat defence, I have tested a number of defences in my day and so I think I am completely qualified to give my opinion!

The packaging is pretty standard, nice and pink, I do love how the bottle is slightly transparent which is perfect because I can see how much product is left - EXCELLENT!

The size of the bottle and the easiness of the spray bottle.

The spray bottle.
The solution is dispensed as a mist which is unusual because it comes out almost as a frooffy foam, a mist of silky bubbliness, it's hard to describe - it's not like any other heat defence.

The product in just dispensed onto my hair.
I like to smother my hair with defence spray, so it's almost dripping - maximum protection...
Product dried into the hair.
As you can see the product dries really nicely, this was after about 5 minutes, completely dry - much faster than any other defence I've tried.

I have used my GHD hair straighteners - not a single split end.

I have used my Toni and Guy jumbo curlers on my protected hair, only spotted one or two splits.

Packaging - 5/5 - You can see how much product you've used.
Product - 4.95/5 - Unique and usable, works very well even with curlers.
Dry time? - 4/5 - Up to 5-15 minutes depending on how drenched it is!!
Overall happiness - 5/5. My favorite heat protector so far :-).
SO overall this product is a misty magical wonder which protects your hair perfectly, the packaging is very efficient and the product dries quickly and effectively  And for a tiny weeny £3.55 ( and even cheaper on offer!;-) ) I cannot rave about this product any more, 5/5!:)  Buy this product...
Thanks for reading and I will see you all very soon! Love Annie :-) xx

What heat defence do you use?
