Easy School Hairstyles! | BACK TO SCHOOL SERIES

Hello everyone! It's been such a manic week this week so apologies for the lack of posts, I just started sixth form and it has literally been MADNESS the last few days, but I've finally finished all my taska and I can have some relaxing time with my blog. This post is all part of my back to school series where I have been preparing and giving you a guide to school life, being a regular school-attender, I am super qualified to help you guys out and give you some guidance, so enjoy!
I am by no means a hair expert, this is just three looks that I tend to do for school. I barely have ANY TIME in the mornings because I tend to cherish every second possible in bed so something quick and easy is right up my street. Like I said, enjoy!:-)

I will just give you a little heads up about...

Naturally my hair is quite frizzy and curly, I don't blowdry it because curly hair already tends to feel quite dry and so even more dryness would just be horrific. I have a lot of hair but its all very FINE and so when I do straighten it, it goes quite thin. I'm currently growing my hair a few more inches, and I also get my hair coloured in a salon. So now you know all of that we can get started!

This is all I use for my looks, a thin hair band from Wilkinsons. Their really cheap and long lasting.

Let's get started!!

SO to kick it all off I am going to start with a high, messy, pony tail, this is really cute and can look so intelligent but fashionable all at the same time, plus it's sooo simple!

Yup to begin you need to flip your entire head over, it's just really easy and  helps get lots of volume and a minimal amount of kinks...

The next step is to scoop it all up and hold it with your hand before...

Be careful you don't get whiplash here but you need to flip it all back and have your hair tie at the ready...

Just tie it over a few times and release the hair.

Then I like to roughen and tighten it slightly just get your hands in it and make it look a bit more messy...

Then my trick for making my pony appear longer, I like to pull the end down and the top upwards to stretch it out.

Then the final step is to pull out my flyaway's just to mess it up slightly, and finish it off.

AND THAT IS IT FOR HAIRSTYLE ONE!

Next up is a next step from the ponytail really...

I love this look for lazy days, it's really feminine and easy.

So basically from your ponytail, you need to loosen your tie by one and pull the ponytail back through but only halfway.

Once again the final step is to mess it all up, run your fingers through just to take the edge off of it.

And that is another hairstyle done!

Moving onto the final hairstyle...

I tend to do this style the morning after I shower, just to tame frizz and to make more loose curls.

For a side braid you need to part your hair down the side of your head like so...

Then you're going to pick up a top piece, about. an inch and half. This is going to be your starting point for your braid.
Plaiting down the side of the head is pretty easy, just pick up pieves all the way down until you braid all the way down your head.

Once you've braided all the way down you need to tie the end a few inches from the bottom.

Like the other two styles the final step is to loosen and mess up the hair by tugging at the braid and running your fingers through.

AND that is for today guys! If you have enjoyed this post do give it a lovely little comment, or you could even SUBSCRIBE to ToadRoad Fashion if you fancy. What's in my Gym Bag??! | BACK TO SCHOOL SERIES

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a lovely week, today I am sharing with a you quite an interesting postie and that is 'What's in my Gym Bag?'. This is all part of my BACK TO SCHOOL series (which you can check out in previous posts), in which I tackle the frequent problems I face and still do face when I go back to school. Now I don't know if any of you feel the same, but I always struggled with knowing what to wear in my PE lessons. I wanted to be comfortable but also wanted to look cool too and so I really worked hard on trying to make my PE kit as cool as possible, and that is what I am going to share with you today. I took GCSE PE so I had SIX PE lessons a week and I did various things from outdoorsy sports like football, to swimming to gymnastics, so trying to find something versatile but fashionable was a challenge but this is what I came up with, enjoy!:-)

SO LETS GET STARTEED!

SO I will start with the bag, the one I am showing you in the title image is a converse one which my mum actually won for me on Ebay about a year ago, but if I have to take two lots of kit in one day (e.g swimming kit and gymnastics kit) I will fill my smaller Hunter bag which came with my beautiful hunter wellies.

So the first thing in my bag and I am going to talk about is footwear. I had different shoes for different things, for example:

So these are my beautiful spikes which I used for cross-country and track events, they are very lightweight and are great for long distance races, very comfy and perfect for bouncing and pouncing around. If your serious about your sports and your performances, then I highly recommend you invest in the spikes.

Then there are my...

Although I have to admit they aren't very attractive, spongey running shoes were like my savior for indoor sports like netball and badminton. Their really bouncy which is great and the layers and layers of sponge really do help!

And then finally in the JD bag of wonder...

So these studs have been very dear to me I have worn them to many of football matches and  I love them. They are nike mercurial and I love that the the tick is neon. They are super comfy and great for footie, recommend recommend recommend!

The next thing in my gym bag is...

SO maybe not very exciting but we all need shorts and these bad boys are Nike. Their a great length for the winter, in the summer I switch to some shorter more light-weight shorts. The hilarious thing is these are for boys so they have a netting nappy type thing in them which I find quite comical.

Moving onto...

This polo has also been very faithful to me over the past year, choosing a polo with one of your favourite brands and this is a great way to make your uniform your own and snazz it up a bit. This one is Ralph Lauren and I'm afraid it's starting to get too small for me, nooooo.

So the next thing in my gym bag is...

Excuse me for blurring out my school logo but I am not looking to attract creeps! So if you take GCSE PE in my school you got the chance to purchase a hoodie with your initials on it and let me tell you that is the bizz in my school. If you have a hoodie, your awesome, and so I couldn't resist. Plus it's really comfy!

The next thing I certainly pack in the winter...

So during cross country my hands FREEZE! And so my friend bought me these gloves which also allow me to use my ipod which is great because I always listen to music when I'm running and I HATE having to rip off my gloves to change track.

The next two things I pulled out of my gym bag is...

So both are great for winter sports. Leg warmers are great for my arms (weird I know) and I love knee high knitted socks, their very girly and fashionable and practical too. The leg warmers are from New Look and the socks are from Next.

And now the final but perhaps most crucial thing...

It is NEVER good when you forget to pack deodorant in your gym bag, so I recommend you make sure it's the first thing you pack so you don't get any Sweaty Betty moments. This one I have raved about in many other posts, I love the Garnier deodorants you honestly can't go wrong with them and they are SOO cheap.

SO as a quick review here is me modelling (rather badly) my kit for you...

And that is it for this evening! I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed this post, if you did do give it a cheeky little comment I love and read every single one. You can also very easily subscribe to Toad Road Fashion where you get told every time I write a new postie. I would also like to say hi and thanks to all my new subscribers too!:) I will see you all very soon for my last BACK TO SCHOOL post so see you then!:) Love Annie :-)xx
